When it comes to moving with UrMove, there are two things you need to know:
When it comes to UrMove, everything is relatively simple. UrMove has a strict policy when it comes to movers. The general requirement is a valid USDOT number (registration) and valid insurance. In addition, we have a 4-star policy, meaning every mover you see has at least 4-star reviews.
Furthermore, UrMove partners with Stripe to ensure that every transaction is secure. There is no need to worry about your credit card information being stolen. If there are issues that can’t be resolved on the spot, UrMove will act as a mediator between you and your movers.
There are two main types of movers insurance: The basic one comes at no cost, 60 cents per pound.
Full value insurance you gotta pay for. Usually, it is a fixed amount per every $100 insured with a max of $10,000. If Full Value Insurance is 57 cents per every $100, it will cost you $28.5 to insure $5000 ($.57 x 50 = $28.5). If you want to insure the full $10,000, it will run at $.57 x 100 = $57.
Full-value insurance is not included in your movers' rate and comes at an extra cost. Also, different moving companies may offer different insurance products, including deductibles and over $10,000 insurance. Ask about it before signing a contract.
